It's time for WAR --- Penny Wars!
Start collecting those coins and join us for our 1st EVER Sheehan Penny Wars! Here's how it works:
Each grade has a container outside the gym
Add points by adding pennies to a container
Subtract points by adding silver coins or paper money
to a container
The grade with the highest total at the end of school on May 8 wins extra recess!

Art Night - Thursday May 1
Parents and students are invited to come and check out what our students have been up to in Art Class at our annual Art Night on Thursday May 1 from 6-7pm.
There is no registration required and the admission is free!
***We are STILL in need of volunteers to help set up and break out the event. This is an easy event to volunteer for, so if you have the time, please consider helping out.***
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up — May 5th through 9th!
We’re excited to celebrate ALL of our amazing Sheehan staff with something special planned each day. We're asking for item contributions to help stock the salad bar on Tuesday, May 6th.

Save the Date - Cultural Festival
Please save the date for the 4th Annual Sheehan Cultural Festival on Thursday, May 29 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. to celebrate all that makes our Sheehan community unique! This year's event will include a 5th grade drum circle performance, lawn games, chopstick demonstrations, Henna tattoos, a community art project and a headline performance by Grooversity Afro-Brazilian Percussion! Bring a picnic dinner or purchase from any of our onsite food vendors, including House of Lo, C&C Ice Cream and more.

We are in need of parent volunteers for the library and lunchroom. This is a great opportunity to see your child(ren) and watch them interact with their classmates. Plus -- you can select the date and time that works best for YOUR schedule. Use the sign up genius links below to sign up for both lunchroom and library volunteer duties!
Don't forget: You MUST complete a CORI form before volunteering for lunchroom or library duty. Complete this CORI form and email it to eerwin@westwood.k12.ma.us with a copy of your driver’s license.
