Helping Our Neighbors
We know that current circumstances may be creating real difficult challenges for some of our families. As always, our school community is strongest when we look out for one another, and we want to find ways to quietly support anyone who may be in need.
If you’d like to help, here are a few simple ways to make a difference:
Grocery store gift cards in any amount are incredibly helpful and can be dropped off at the main office or sent to Alyssa Kaitz (parent of Lucy in 2G) aekaitz@gmail.com
Nonperishable food donations can be directed to the Westwood Food Pantry, which is currently seeking extra support. A donation box can be found in the main office for your convivence.
If your family could use any help right now, please know that assistance is available confidentially by reaching out to Mrs. Evans.

Costume Swap
🎃 Got old costumes haunting your closets? 👻 Don’t let them spook around till next October! Sheehan Elementary is collecting gently used Halloween costumes now for next year’s Costume Swap. Drop them off and let your old witch hats, superhero capes, and dinosaur tails live their best life again—because one kid’s “been there, worn that” is another kid’s BOO-tiful treasure! 🕸️
Drop off bin is located in front of the main office or bring them to our PTA meeting, Tuesday November 4th 7PM in the library.
Stock the Teacher Lounge
This is a program that allows each grade to purchase items most requested by the teachers and staff of Sheehan off an Amazon Wish List. October, the 5th graders filled the lounge with the essentials to keep our teachers going. Thank you to everyone who donated items. This month our 4th grade families will receive the link. Everyone has been super grateful, please see this poem written by Sheehan staff in appreciation.
